text and sound question

1. i keep getting these strange text messages from a "9114" #. The message is just a bunch of lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and a backslash here and there. any idea of the source?

2. is there any way to turn off the keytone? not the keytone that you can turn on and off in Options>Screen/Keyboard, i only hear it when im in the normal, loud or phone only profile and punch numbers to call someone.

1. Not sure what this is...it could be something you signed up for or someone added your number to some SMS list.

2. No, you cannot turn this off when dialing numbers.

Sometimes its buffered messages from the service provider , its something to look into
Or your getting phone spam lol

Maybe call your carrier about the number and if its not them, are if you can block it if its always the same number.
