T-Mobile Update 18.104.22.168 Available
Just got a text notifying me that a software upgrade is available....just thought I'd let you all know
you can actually get updates from blackberry website and there are two more out there.
casewicked, Welcome to PinStack.
Sounds like TMO is a little behind on their notifications, their OS .64 has been posted for a week or so, but thanks anyway for letting us know about it.
Let us know if there is anything we can do to help with your BB.
I still haven't upgraded...
Hahaha! And they didn't send ME a TEXT!!
Aww... But yeah, the update is availiable.
Is it recommended to upgrade the new OS? is this the new OS that has the auto dimming program installed?
The only OS with that you can disable Auto Dim is 22.214.171.124
All other OS's including this one (126.96.36.199) you cannot disable autodim.
So if you dont like AutoDim dont upgrade, although for me the .42 was slow and buggy so I did.
I see, then I won't upgrade. thanks alot! fast reply!
so what are the new features/repairs with the new upgrade? Should I upgrade?
The newer OS's since the original T-mo launch are more stable, but if you want to be able to disable auto dim like I stated above dont upgrade.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i don't know why not a lot of people like the autodim...as for me it doesn't really matter cuz compared to other phones out their auto dim or not the BB pearl still beats the resolution and brightness of the screen. I mean das just my opinion.
i heard there was like a sensor or something on the pearl..but do you know where it is? because i have my phone in a case, and whenever i halfway take it out, the autodim goes away and my phone is alot "brighter".

You gain some you lose some, .42 had that "annoying" trackball problem where it silenced the ringer with a slight touch. I felt .42 was buggy as well especially with saving ringtones, and also the standby doesn't work properly. I don't really recommend .64 either though....(had an issue with the call lag/delay) but maybe it was because I installed the Rogers .64. I'm using the Telefonica version .67 and lovin it! Fixed all my problems.
