Sync via Bluetooth from Pearl 8110 to Vista Home Premium

Has anyone got this to work yet? I've searched, but have not found anything. I have a new Sony Vaio, with Vista Home Premium. I'd mainly liked to sync contacts, and calendar via bluetooth.

    I appreciate the replies.........

You need Desktop manager to synchronize though. As long as your PC is using Microsoft drivers for your bluetooth and not third party drivers you shouldn't have an issue.

I have desktop manager, and it works perfectly when i sync via usb cable. I can even send files via bluetooth to and from PC and Pearl. It just will not automatically sync. Thanks again guys.

When the laptop, and BB both have BT on, it should automatically pair, then sync when they are close enough together.

    Figured it out?

I think i got it. I just leave DM open, and bluetooth on both devices "on" all the time. The laptop does ask for approval b4 syncing. Any settings to have it happen automatically?

I just want to set my phone down near the laptop, and have it sync.

I think my DM is the newest version. 4.3? I didn't use the disk that came with the phone, i uploaded from the bb site. I bought the Pearl 1 month ago.

If you are using 4.3 you can turn off the feature for it to prompt you to accept the changes. You do this by going to the Synchronize icon, go to the Configuration tab on the top and click configure sync on the right hand side. Highlight the Calendar in and then click the advanced button. You can then uncheck the boxes that say "Confirm Record Deletions" and "Confirm Changes and Additions". You will then need to do this same thing for Address Book, Tasks and Memos

Be warned though that by doing this it will sync without any prompts but if anything ever happens where outlook or the blackberry accidentally mess up it could cause you to lose a lot of data.
