actually, i got this phone because my old phone (RAZR) was messed up and i hated the fact that everyone else had that same phone. i was gonna get the samsung t629 but they said that my plan wasnt qualified for an upgrade yet, but i could only get a data phone, so i went with the BB, huh, but it turned out for the better

    Re: Stupid Question!

I think I got my first cellphone when I was 12. It was one of those "green-screen" phones lol. Now Im 17 and pearl is my 4th or 5th phone.

PS. I did graduate early (when I was 15 and a half) so I aint a high school dude.

    you're telling me.

i'm not too surprised kids want the pearl. a sidekick is pretty dumbed-down and expensive alternative (not to mention sticks out like a sore thumb if you're in class trying to goof off). PIN msging, private blackberry email acct, encryption (in case parents want to take a peak onto memory card), mp3 and video playback, mms and good form factor..

and if you're with t-mobile, a reasonable price plan to pitch to rents.

I mean I was young when I got my first cellphone (12), but back then kids didn't have cell phones. I remember first day I brought it in, everyone was like "nah, it's fake" "probably not connected" and so I made a call while everyone gathered around...

    voice responds: "hello, mike's pizza"

    everyone: whoaaaaa

I'm only 21 too, lol. shows how far tech stuff has come.

What does someone else having a BB have to do with YOUR mother's opinion?
