    Strange Calendar Error

    Help!

While using the calendar, usually when an alarm has gone off, I continue to have this error....

    "Uncaught Exception net.rim.device.api.system.object.group.readonly.ex ception"

I have to do a full reset.

I sometimes get it once every few days, sometimes a few times a day....

I have had it both with the pear and my previous 8700 and on several OS's....

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Mik

    Re: Strange Calendar Error

    Solution:
Install the most recent version of BlackBerry Device Software. Run the Application Loader process without restoring data on the BlackBerry device.

    Re: Strange Calendar Error

    Thanks Hayden

    But I don't understand.

    >> Install the most recent version of BlackBerry Device Software.

    >> on the BlackBerry device.

I assume when they say the 'Blackberry Device Software', they mean the actual Pearl firmware?

Once I have run the Application Loader process without restoring data, then what?

Can I then restore the data? Or are they saying that the data is corrupt and I must enter it all manually?

If that is the case, can I restore all other data, just not from the calendar?

    Assistance greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mik

Restore everything but the calendar. Then setup the calendar manually.

    good luck.

    *of course backup 1st.
