Using a 8130 on VZW. Running Alltel OS v.4.3.0.97. Curent apps are - BBLight, BBWeather, Epocrates rx, ESPNMobileweb, Google maps, leopard theme, opera mini, soft reset, and Viigo.I only have 8667180 Bytes free and it drops throughout the day. Does not seem too many apps but still leaking memory. Thought that the Alltel OS was supposed to take care of that?

Ok, so I cleared my logs and deleted an app and am up to around 12. Hopefully it stays there~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

How many feeds do you have on your Viigo?

What else do you have installed on your BB? Other themes? Languages?

Gonna cut out some of the viigo feeds. Only 1 theme downloaded. Have looked at the thread and gotten rid of the other languages.with only sending a couple of txt messages I have dropped 2 kB since my last post.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Re: still leaking memory

OK, so here is what I did. I went into the JAVA folder on the os in my computer, deleted the themes from the other service providers, deleted the wallpapers, Deleted the cods for other languages and am now holding steady at about 16 kB. Seems to have done the trick. The thing that sucks is that I am apparently going to have to do this every time I upgrade my OS. Anyone else have any other ideas?

    16kb or 16mb? 16kb is nothing...so hopefully its 16mb

I'm just trying to figure out what is taking up all your memory. I have way more applications installed and I have 16 to 14mb free at all times.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I had a similar prob with a new 8130 with 4.3 OS - try enabling the memory cleaner (and choosing to show the icon on the homescreen helps )and set it to clean automatically when idle. Worked wonders for me.

If I were to hazard a guess . . . ePocrates RX. It's a well known Palm memory hog. I don't think it's about number, as much as size, and 'leftovers' after closing the program.

Also, have you tried using the Memory Cleaner? Options->Security Options->Memory Cleaning

    It might help!

Got rid of ePocrates, and all of those unused themes and languages. Clear my log on a regular basis. Clear my cache and soft reset overy couple of days. Keeps me floating between 12 and 16 mb
