There is an update to 4.5 for 8130 on front page but its not for sprint. The latest os for sprint is the 4.3 you currently have. But you can update your sprint phone to the 4.5. I have it and it works great. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Sprint user has well. Been trying out .77/.56 for a couple of weeks now. Works fairly well, though HTML is a bit of a misnomer. You actually still have to manually pull the images instead of having them posted automatically in your email. Docs to Go and everything else works like a charm though.
Just make sure you follow install instructions to the T, though.
I'm running sprint v126.96.36.199,
should i dare fiddle and upgrade to 4.5? is it worth it?
Yes, it is WELL worth it. Biggest things are a slightly better media player, html emails, docs to go and--at least for me--much MUCH better memory management. I've have 188.8.131.52 for about 3 or 4 weeks. Haven't upgraded yet to 184.108.40.206 or .81 or whatever the very latest OS is for the 8130.

See the following blog and click on any of the carriers under the 8130.
For instructions on how to upgrade see the following thread and be sure to follow carefully especially deleting the vendor.xml file.
