I usually just go to bbm and got to update my software. Once I'm their I remove any unused apps and standard software and themes by unchecking them. This frees up more space for your blackberry to run on smoothly. Tell me if this helps plz.

Another think is a app called MemoryUp. It frees up memory and defrags your blackberry. As I know the pearls don't have a lot of memory give it a try.

I suggest doing a battery pull once per day, like before you go to bed, or before you shower in the morning. This will free up memory better than memory up and it's free Also clear your browser cache daily and delete messages unless you really need to save them. Also don't have more than a couple extra themes, they take up a lot of space. How much free memory do you have? If you go to Options/Status what is the number for File Free?

That's low, you should try to get it higher, how much right after a battery pull? Do you have a media card? Any pics saved to device memory?

You should really get a memory card at least a 1gb if your surviving with the 32mb supplied in an 8110. They are like 10-15 bucks for a 1gb lately. I have a 4gb PNY in mine. (running 4.5). Now I don't bog down my internal memory. Plus I have mass storage support.

Oh and that's really low mem. I have nothing but a few apps and themes saved on my phone and I have between 25mb and 27mb upon a battery pull.
