    Question speaker automatically turns on

    Hi!

I have a problem with incoming calls - everytime I answer an incoming call, the speaker is automatically turned on for approximately 5 seconds, after which it returns back to normal (the speaker deactivates)

Does anyone know how to solve this?

maybe its the same type of scenario..are you pressing the accept button twice? i found that when pressing the end call button one time instead of multiple times, it will not activate the speaker.

Hmm not that I know of. I will make sure I don't - however I don't think that that is the problem. It has happened on every single call since I got the phone a week back, and I'm not the click twice kind of guy.

If youve only had the phone for a week you can take it back to the store you got it from and they will exchange it

Yeah, that's what I'll do. They have a delivery period of 3 weeks for Blackberry phones, so I would have liked to avoid it!

    Thank you for your help!

Just out of curiosity, try putting it on auto answer out of holster, call yourself and pull it out of the holster and see if it goes to speakerphone.

That is of course if you have the holster.

    Hi

I've just found this forum tonight and the reason I was looking for help was because mine is doing exactly the same thing. Like you, it's been doing it since Day1 and I just thought it was something I was doing wrong! Glad to realise it's not! I'm going to ring Vodafone tomorrow and discuss with them as like you I've only had my BB about 2 - 3 weeks.
