I woke up this morning about 8 and looked at my phone and it said ... BlackBerry Pearl forum
I woke up this morning about 8 and looked at my phone and it said SOS in red in the upper right hand corner then "SIM card rejected" where the "T-Mobile" normally is..
I have tried to battery pulls on top of battery pulls and have taken off the sim card several times also, and its still not working. I tried turning of the connection and still nothing.
I have only had this phone for 3 weeks and i've never dropped it either.
Any help, I have gone the whole day without my phone.
Sounds like either you have a bad sim card or maybe the phone is not reading the simcard correctly, is there any way for you to try it on a nother phone? if so try that and will see if its a phone issue or the simcard issue. or have you tried calling your carier maybe they sometimes can program sim cards for you. But I am thinking it maybe your only phone?
I just tried it in my 8100 and its still saying the same thing..
So i'm guessing it the sim card.

I am replacing my SIM card (that I just got in January 2008) today also. Having the same problems for almost 1 week.
Whoo it works I got my new card..
I went in there and I was trying to start a conversation with the rep that was helping me because I was tired of watching him whipping off his sweat then foundling with my phone. So I asked do the sim cards usually go bad and he replied by said no not at all... I turned my head like I was flipping my hair and rolled my eyes.
He 1st takes out the battery and card then puts it back in like I didn't try the 50 times before I cam here .. Then he said I guess we will have to replace your sim card.. again with the rolling of my eyes.
After he was done with it and it woked I said I guess they do go bad huh... then walked out.
May I ask.. What does the SOS mean?
I get that sometimes at work when I have no signal.
T-Mobile Blackberry 8310 Crimson Red
It means that another network is available for use but only for emergency (SOS) calls.
