    Somewhat of a Newbie!

Is there a way on the blackberry pearl to increase the amount of times the phone rings, or do I need to download software to make it ring longer? Also, I have problems with my ringer not sounding off when my Pearl is holstered.

to increase the ring length and others first try decreasing the number of vibrates before ring
for the ring not in holster double check your profile settings. on the pearl there are settings for in holster.
also depending on carrier you can increase the ring length by giving them a short call.
I did that today ring length is now 30 sec.
    hope this helps

You should be able to contact your carrier and request that they extend the forwarding time for your voicemail from 30 seconds to something longer. They will warn you that if you do that all calls coming in whether answered or not will start coming out of your bucket minutes. The system starts registering calls when one of two things happen : The call is answered or the call lasts more than 30 seconds.

Boss Lady - who is your provider? There is a command that will increase the time B4 your call goes to V mail ( I beleive the max is 30 secs)

Yeah, why oh why do companies think that no one wants Vibrate AND ring settings? More and more lately I keep seeing vibrate THEN ring only. In fact this is an awesome topic for the suggestion forum. Why not BOTH!?

    Try this.

For TMo Dial: *61*18056377242**30# press send

where 30 represents 30 seconds delay. You can reduce that number in 5 sec increments.

I love those *61* numbers! I use it all the time to set up call forwarding when I'm in a poor reception area!

Sorry, I did come back sooner! My provider is t-mobile, and I did call them to ask the same question, and they couldn't help me, they said that you cannot adjust ringer time, but they never said anything about delaying the time before it goes to voice mail. I will definately try that! I have so much trouble getting to my phone before it goes into voice mail, I always end up having to call people back. Thanks everyone for your help! I love this forum, you guys are always so polite and helpful!
