Some questions about going on internet.

To use the driving direction thing on this do you need to have anything added to your cell phone plan? Also to go online does it cost extra or is it intergrated with a regular plan? One more thing. When you go online do you have a mouse and the trackball acts as the mouse or do you have to just scroll from link to link if you visit a regular page? Thanks.

    Hi Jason,

I don't know about the driving direction thing, I assume you are talking about the GPS? Someone else can help you with that and the trackball questions I'm sure... However, going online requires you to have a data plan with your service provider for one. I suggest an unlimited data plan simply because going over your alloted data per month can be quite costly.

You will need some type of Blackberry Data plan in order to get onine. This is a separate plan from your Voice plan.

There is no "mouse" on the Blackberry, but rather something called a trackball/trackwheel, which enables you to scroll through various menus within the Blackberry, including navigating websites. There are various shortcuts which enable Blackberry users to access the majority of features with minamal use of the trackwheel.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~for GPS as in real time driving assistance you will need a Bluetooth GPS receiver. And you can use blackberry maps with that receiver.

these run from 50.00$-150.00$ USD on average I would say most good ones cost about 110.00$ you can check this one out and there is more on their home page. http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=237 it is in the average price range and I hear it works with the 8100, havent tried it first hand but will be in the next week or so.

    Good Luck.
