    SMS shortcut question???

I've read that from within your message list, you can hit the "," key to compose a message. Whenever I try this, I get a message that says "No message services configured. You will only be able to save drafts". I do have SMS service and my SMS's work fine.

    Anyone know what this is?

    Thanks.

p.s. anyone know any other good shortcuts for text or pic messaging?

The ! works for me to reply from within a message. But not the , to compose a message from the message list screen. Does that work for you?

that error message usually means email isn't set up. Maybe "," is for email, not SMS? Do you have email set up on your BB?

    Re: SMS shortcut question???

No, I don't have my email set up. Maybe that's what it's pointing to. I'm not a real big fan of the texting features so far.

    Another question...

Is there a way to permanently turn of the "history" feature of sms? I don't need to see the complete conversation I've had with a person each time either of us replies.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~well it doesn't make sense to delete one message everytime you reply, you can delete all the messages in the SMS inbox by highlighting the date, menu > options > delete prior

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ ohh and I was confused by your first question. Set your email up first, then try it out, and post back with the update.

Or from messages, goto Menu>Options>General Options and set the save time to 15 days. It's still saving them, but the default is 30 days, so it won't save as much.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i usually delete all my messages every 2 days, it takes up too much of my device memory and it seems that my phone runs smoother.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ EDIT* to delete all the messages in the SMS inbox folder : highlight date... I.E. Thurs, Aug 9, 2007 ( its located on top of the screen), click on the menu button, hit delete prior.
