yup you are out of memory, do a batt pul to free up some for now, then delete anything you don't need also it's a good practice to do a batt pull once a week.
I do and have never had this prob.
there is a memory leak on the pearl. this is a great way to keep it to a minimum

That is *WAY* low for right after a battery-pull! I have ~40MB after a restart and have a good number of 3rd party apps installed.

How many pix, vids and ringtones do you have loaded? You can delete the sample video and any unneeded language files.

40mb is really high, sarbin. I have a small amount of 3rd party apps and after a pull i'm barely at 27 (and few email/mms attachments). I also have removed the language packs and test video.

I've deleted BBMaps (like GMaps better) and the video, but no other RIM apps and never had anything but English installed from Day 1. I've also used JLCommander to delete some of the vendor themes that I previously unlocked. All of my personal jpgs and ringtones live on an SD card. I have no SMS/MMS (don't use 'em) and I keep my email and phone logs cleaned up religiously. Even with the OS memory leaks, I never get below 30MB before a reset... usually once a week.

I just did a reset with SoftReset...
Free file memory right now: 38,790,208 (36.99 MB)

    Themes on-board:
    BB Dimension Icon
    BB Dimension Today
    BB Dimension Zen (in use)
    iPhone13
    O2 Zen
    T-Mobile Zen
    ZeniPhone11

    Current 3rd-party apps on-board:
    GMaps
    Opera Mini
    Microhill Stockviewer
    InfoSeek Find It!
    PicoNews
    Berry411
    SoftReset
    Texas Holdem
    Blackjack
    Klondike
    Freecell
    Hearts
    Spider Solitaire
