Most likley a low memory issue.

Check Options-About-Status, what is your File Free? Then read this thread for ideas:

is there a way to have the text go directly into a sd card so this won't happen again?

Sorry the SD card is refferd to by RIM as a Media card, and as such can only store Media, If you read the thread provided by Gary, it should help you keep it form happening again.

This is happening to me too. When I go Options > Status it reads File Free: 0 Bytes, File Total: 50462720 Bytes. Any ideas?

    Still low...

Do you have a lot of themes or 3rd party apps on your device? Photos or music in device memory? Do you have an sd card? If so go into your media app, hit menu and options, and set reserved pictures memory to 0mb.

I do have google maps. I think I will get rid of that.I just moved all media files to my memory card too and changed the media settings as you suggested. I do have the camera set to save to the card too. I did notice in the options>advanced settings there is Russian character set. & and a semitic set, should I be ok to uninstall those as well? I don't use either. Thanks for the help by the way. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Keep google maps - it is worth the space. If that is all you have thats not your issue.

Connect with Desktop Manager and Application loader and take a look at what all is loaded, you can remove all language support, and a few of the built in apps you dont use.

Sounds like you are on the right track.

My phone has done that since I got it. Even when I got a new one it still does it. I was told by a man from AllTel customer service that its a blackberry problem and that they should be coming out with a fix or update. However I still can't find it or have any idea how to find it. Hope this helps

I was told by a man from AllTel customer service that its a blackberry problem and that they should be coming out with a fix or update. The only solution they gave me was to take the battery out and reset it once a day. As long as I do that it works just fine but as soon as I forget it deletes everything again. Hope that helps out.

I cleared out some themes and unused apps. and that pretty much solved my problem. Plus I had a ton of saved messages I deleted. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
