Lightbulb Sluggish blackberry Pearl? Delete the Content cache.

Exactly what I said. Yesterday I was using a vnc software and I downloaded a ringtone. The ringtone was about 500 kb. It downloaded right into my browser cache and played. There after my phone was super sluggish. Everything I went into had a hour glass..... So I investigated and figure it was something related tp that download. So I cleared the content cache and bam my Pearl was up to speed again.

So if the delete logs, and closing programs dont work, just delete the content cache. It doesnt clear even after you exit and close the browser.

Especially if you do alot heavy browsing....

Also, if you don't want to worry about deleting your event log, you can always go into the event log options and disable it and it won't record anything so its always clear. It doesn't negatively affect any thing unless you actually look at those logs and use them for tech support or something.

Doesn't deleting the comtent cache clear out all the sites tha you surf on a normal basis and also clears out the passwords that you use on the sites, ie, logins, etc?

there is an option to clear JUST he cache...and not the cookies...

I clear out the cache pretty regularly...dont delete the cookies, and you should be able to keep your login in info on there.

MP55, are you sure this actually doesn't create logs?
The settings say "filter" and "show/hide" making it sound like they are still created just filtered out from view. Any idea if this actually prevent them from being created?

    Thanks.

I found no way to disable the regular logs, not the browser. I clear the browser's everyday, and use opera mini to log in to sites. Actually I don't use the BB browser but for secured and download sites

when you clear the cache from the BB browser, does that clear the opera cache too?

i know opera only has an option to clear your history.. would i have to do that?
