    Call me duh, but I am trying to enable security on my Sim card but when it prompts to enter my PIN code, what is the code and where do I find it? Apparently I have only 2 more attempts.

    yes good call envy...i was wondering the same thing...which is why i stopped from encrypting my sim...was thinging about going to my buddy @ the T-Mo shop to have him do it...love having a knowledgable rep for a friend

    I tried a few years ago on an old phone to do SIM security, messed it up, needed some stupid PUK code and they had to replace my SIM. ATT (Cingular then) told me that its better off not to deal with SIM security.

    yeah you are rite the wipe only messes with the device, it doesn't erase contacts on your sim... i wiped my phone like 3 times in a week before...

    Well normaly you get the PIN and PUK with the SIM. The PIN is for saving the SIM for unauthorised access. The PUK is for unlocking the SIM when you enter the PIN three times wrong.
