    SIM card rejected

So at some point within the last hour, a message appeared on my display that says SIM card rejected and my pearl is no longer working. Ive taken it out and put it back in several times and I still get the same message. Did my SIM card just go bad and I need to go to T-mobile and get a new one? This is not an unlocked phone or anything like that.

Welcome to the Stacks Longhorn. Sounds to me like it might be the SIM too. I would have TMO check it out before doing anything else to clean up your BB. Do you have another phone that you could try the SIM in to make sure it's the SIM?

it just happened to me... was working just fine here at home 2 hours ago. Pulled the battery and it still says SIM Card Rejected. Switched it into a regular 3G Samsung Sync and it tells me SIM not provisioned... what could have happened. Can't even call 611

    Re: SIM card rejected

Oh noes! It's a SIM card virus, an epidemic!

No just kidding, I've had sim cards over the years that would go bad on me. Each time the most likely cause was the data became corrupted. No surprise to me, but it's only ever happened in smart phones, particularly where I am able to install various apps. As far as I've been able to tell it is just random conflicts with applications reading or writing to the SIM and then something else interfering and muddling things up.

Getting a fresh SIM will of course resolve it. My old Nokia 3650 went through several though. Good luck!

yeah I did get it replaced, just don't understand how it would happen when it was less than 3 months old - really strange how SIM cards work. Oh well the rep was cute so that's a plus

    Re: SIM card rejected

ok now I just had a pop up like you get for Deleting an email
this pop up had a pic on the left of a SIM card or Memory card and said "pwr off/on" with 3 buttons OK, Back, Cancel
anyone ever seen this? I tried to get a screenshot of it but it disappeared before I got the cable plugged in. I do not use the auto on/off feature (just double checked and both say disabled). Wonder if it is related to the SIM issues

    Re: SIM card rejected

Did you register your new SIM with the network. It might not be properly provisioned yet.

Also, what were you doing at the time you received that error? If you weren't really doing anything, what was the last siginificant action you performed?

    Re: SIM card rejected

it actually said "SIM card rejected" ? and was fixed from service book? I did that and had to go in to the AT&T store for a new SIM, nothing worked. Glad it is fixed for ya but yeah SIM's are strange lol
