    Shortcut keys on Pearl?

I have been a Palm Treo user for the last 3 years or so and one thing I liked about them was how you could set certain keys to access certain things like your calendar, tasks, address book, etc. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this on the pearl? I hate having to go to my applications and scroll through what I want. I would much rather hit one or two buttons on the home screen and have them open?

    hi, welcome to pinstack!
unfortunately, you can't program the keys for shortcuts, but the convenience keys (voice and camera/by default) you can!

also look here for keystroke shortcuts

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I use a 7290 so I am not positive if the same shortcuts work on the Pearl, but I know from my home screen I can access most of the popular BB apps by pushing a single key like "t" for Tasks, "p" for phone, "c" for contacts, "m" for Messages, etc. Hope this helps.

Short cuts do not work on the Pearl. You can't turn off Dial from Home Screen. Don't know if that is the same for all suretype BBs but wouldn't doubt it.
