alright. in anyone's opinion, is this safe to do? i was just reading in the 13 pages following the thread in how to install new OS's and it seems like alot of people were having problems. Does this usually happen or should i be ok as long as i follow the directions? I don't want to screw up my phone in any way because i'm not very tech savvy and wouldn't be able to fix it...and can't get by without it.

yes it is safe as long as you follow directions.like i said get the at&t OS for now untill you get a little fimilar with the device then you can use any operating system tmo etc as long as you delete vendor file but i would get more comfortable with the device and just do some reading and ask questions any one here will be more than glad to help. this is a great place friendly peps.

glad that worked out... what you can do to speed it up is remove unneeded files. There is a thread about freeing up memory space. examples: you can delete the sample video, default ringtones if you do not use them, extra languages...etc. Try that thread out
