Question Sending pictures from the 8130...

    hello everyone,
this is on behalf of my co-worker here. he has an 8130 and is trying to send a picture from his phone to an email. he has a data plan, so that's not the problem. the thing is, at first it did not send. and the second time he tried to send, this icon that i've never seen before was next to the message. it looked like a sticky note, but not as yellow. (for lack of better words, haha). i have the 8100, and have not ever seen that icon myself so i am clueless as to what that indicates (also do not have a data plan myself, so that might be the reason for me not seeing it). on the third attempt, it appeared to be transferring the file (the little arrows in the top right corner were flashing and what not), but then finally a red x appeared, so we know that didn't go through. the previous attempt still has that odd icon.
So, basically, are we missing something or is the network just down?
    thanks in advance.

The weird icon is probably a draft. Try going into menu, options, advanced options, host routing table, menu, register now. Then pull the battery. That should get you working. If not check to make sure you can access the web via the BB browser. If that does not work you probably aren't set up on RIM's side of things. Hope it helps.

there was a bullseye, and now it is a red x.
when you told me to register, the phone received a text, so i know that works.
should i do the steps again? maybe pull the battery for longer? no idea.

open the message with the red x and it should give you an error message. What is the message? Failure to send?

may be too late... but here's all you have to do... take the battery out 20-30 secs...and put it back in... that's it... your MMS should be enabled... good luck! John
