    Sending a reminder to contacts?!

i was wondering if it is possible to set a reminder for yourself and also have a reminder sent as a sms or email to one of your contacts? my buddy texted me one day and it seemed like it was a reminder (in a sms format) reminding me a group of friends were gonna go out. just wondered if this was possible, i think it would be pretty cool to have it sent for your calander or alerts reminding you and also your friends/contacts about something.

I think I've read that calendar reminders are supposed to be a new feature on the new OS or something? I can't remember. Someone's got the answer.

There is an option on Calender and Tasks to set a reminder for yourself, but I haven't found a way to program the phone to automatically send a reminder text at a specific time... yet...
Sounds pretty useful- if not yet available, there is a section on the forum's main page to submitt ideas like this...

You can do it by email...not sms. When you set up your appointment in calendar, just hit the menu button, 'invite attendee'. tada. Not sure the max you could invite but I know it's more than one. Would be nice if you could invite a group though if you have groups set up (of course you would have to email set up for all of them)...

When you are setting a new appointment in your calendar, hit the menu button.

    You don't have this option?

Nope. No option for me either and I'm running the newest TMO OS. What are you running?

Oops, actually I have it. I was trying to open an existing appointment and then use that function but it will only work if you make a NEW appointment. Thanks!
