Question Screen Too Bright When Removing From Holster

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I've been through every setting imaginable on my phone as well as adjusting the backlight brightness and timeout settings but still no luck.

Often when I remove my phone from my holster, my Pearl's screen brightness activates at a super-bright setting. In fact, it's too bright to even be comfortably read. The only way I can temporarily resolve it is to place the phone back into the holster and take it back out again. Then it's fine. The screen seems to return to it's normal setting and then all is well. My lighting condition and my enviroment is stationary so I have a hard time believing the internal light sensor which dictates the screens brightness level is being THAT sensitive. AND why is it being flakey from one insert and removal to the next all within a matter of seconds? It doesn't make any sense.

Like I said, none of my advanced options seems to be providing the results that I'm seeking nor does dropping the brightness level to a lower perentage seem to be helping. Does anyone have any ideas or solutions as to what I can do to eliminate this from happening? It's not causing a malfunction of the phone, but it sure is an annoying extra step that I could sure live without.
