    Is there a way to get the screen to light up to indicate when you receive a message?

    you can usually tell by the LED at the top right corner, it blinks red when you have a new message

    yeah i noticed that, i was just wondering if there was a way to get the whole screen to light up. i just got my phone a few days ago and im still trying to figure out everything.

    Well good choice of a phone and I dont think that I can be changed to do that. I think thats why it vibrates and beeps at you is to tell you that you have a message but that just a thought

    For your screen to light up every time you get a message would be a waste of battery power.

    Many people get tons and tons of email a day, and if the screen lit up every time it would barely last half a day. Better to have a small LED light up instead of the LCD.
