I am pretty sure that you can. Someone will be along after with a more specific answer (if needed), but I am pretty sure that you can move the voice note file to the ringtone folder, and the phone will use it.

If that doesn't do it, you might have to transfer the voice note to your PC, convert it to an MP3 format, and then load it back to your phone's ringtone folder. Hope that helps.

I'm wondering the same thing! I could of swore I've done it before, but for some reason I can't figure it out...as soon as I do, I'll be sure and post it for you.

Ok, I figured out a way to do it. Sure there might be an easier way, but here's one...
Record your voice note and send it to your self as an MMS. Next when you receive it, send it as an e-mail to your self. (Or whatever e-mail you have set up on your phone. I've got my Yahoo one set up on my Pearl.) When you get your e-mail on your phone, open it and view the attachment. Press the menu button when it opens it or plays it and click save. When you do this, a box will pop up asking you to save it to phone or apply it as a ringtone...and you can rename it or do whatever you'd like. Hope this answers your question!

So, having a data plan is the only way to save voice notes as ringtones? Say it aint so. I cant afford to add a data plan to my phone. There's got to be a better way. Please advise.

Well, you could use an audio file editor such as audacity on your PC to record the voice note and then use Desktop Manager to download it.

    Hey RCBjr...

Does it matter if i download the beta version of audacity or v1.2.6? Which would you prefer?

    Thanks

Doesn't matter to me, I'm still using 1.2.3 works fine for me. It's which ever you feel comfortable with. I have only used it to rip CDs and wav files to BB Compatible MP3s, so can't really help with the Voice Recording. I just know it should also use the mic input
