Well this one is the OFFICIAL 174 and apparently fixed a lot of the beta's bugs

    C:\Program files\Common Files\Research in Motion\apploader and delete in there.

This update is great. I noticed a lot of lag when typing a message in BBM and that is about gone in this update! GREAT FIND!

When I first connect my device I get the update window like normal. I click next and it scans then says no update is required...

Should I delete the .174 beta first?

I would reinstall 174 on your pc, then do a search on your pc for the VENDOR.XML file, and delete any and all istances of it. Then, start up the DM and connect the blackberry.

DELETE the beta first, if you can.

    I would

    1. restore the device to the older os(should have your original apps)

    2. delete the beta from your pc

    3. install the newer version on your pc, then search and delele the vendor file

    4. open up dm and plug in your device
