    Ringtone help

I'm confused about getting ringtones with this phone, since it's new for me. I'm used to getting them from T-Zones (T-Mobile) where you simply download it.

I get them as a link now, and don't yet have the internet package. A site I used gave directions, something about using options but I can't figure it out.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Re: Ringtone help

it's all good. do you have desktop manager installed on your PC?

If you do then launch it and hit media manager, from there you can load ringtones.
make sure you are in the ringtones folder

If not here is a link to download the newest desktop manager
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
you will need the one V4.2 sp2
it's a long download as it has roxio built in.

for songs to load you will need a micro card

let us know how it goes

Well I got it open and connected my BB, now I gotta figure out how to use it.

    Re: Ringtone help

make your own ringtones using motorola phone tools or cool edit pro, or really whatever editing program you may have and all you have to do(if you have a memory card that is) is, plug your phone in and move it from one folder to another. (From desktop folder in which the songs are in, to the memory card folder.) I found that the easier way and I have plenty of ringtones on my phone, and they are all ones I made and just transferred to my phone myself. Its a pretty easy process.

    Re: Ringtone help

ok hit media manager roxio will start.
the top half is your comp, the bottom is your BB. put ringtones in the correct folder, no songs unless you have a microsd card. sorry

    hope this makes sense

    Re: Ringtone help

open media manager, now on the left hand side open the folder containing all your song files...On the right hand side select device memory. *If you have a micro sd card select media card and click the "blackberry folder." Once you've selected where you will save your songs simply select what song you want on the left hand side and click the button in the middle with the right arrow key. Thats it the song should be on the phone.

    Re: Ringtone help

that's on the older version of desktop manager. the one he's using has roxio built in.
much easier as it converts for the BB automatically, videos and such.
