I had seen some links somewhere here of programs that can create ring tones. Am I mistaken, or are there programs like that?

What do U mean ringtone creator?
Use Audacity to cut a piece of mp3 U like, and polish it a bit in the same program to your liking - and that's it!

    Oh, program is freeware...

cosign on Audacity. I cut the piece of the song I like with it and then use 'Amplify' to raise the dB (volume) level since many mp3s are encoded in varying volumes. I even use it on downloaded ringtones I've gotten off other sites that played too low. It's a great lil program. (Quagmire's "Giggity Giggity" was too soft)

also lets you choose what bitrate you want it to encode and save the ringtone in.

I use Adobe Audition to cut, and correctly change the parameters to make ringtones. Works great IMO..

Yes programs like that do exist, their are plenty of ways to go about doing it. If you don’t want any trouble you can always make your ring tones off of itunes, and then send them to your phone through an uploader or your bb desktop, either way just as effective. Or if you want to be professional about it I could give you some software, but I cant promise that it will be legal. Let me know if any of these sound appealing to you.

    Re: Ring tone creators???

You can't create a ringtone from a song purchased from iTunes they're protected. You have to burn your iTunes songs to CD and then rip the CD to be able to use the song. Of course you can use any unprotected song in your iTunes library without having to burn to CD and rip.

    Hope that helps!
