    Removing google talk?

Why I can't figure this out I have no idea. I'm trying to remove google talk. It doesn't show up on the desktop manager, so I can't just uncheck it and delete it that way. I went into options > advanced options > applications and found it there. I selected it and chose delete, but that didn't delete it. Its gone from that list, but still shows up.

    Anyone? Thanks in advance!

Why? The program is still there, not just the icon, I can still get on it.

Is that just the generic answer to any BB problem, or should that really help?

    techrishon, go here
    options>advanced>applications, hit menu then modules.
delete the module to the program you want to delete.
    followed by a batt pull.
    that should work for ya!

not sure what module to delete, and if it is there. i have google news, google maps, gmail and google search along with google talk. i am trying to find the module for google talk to delete.

    i have: com_google_gmail, com_google_gmail_lib, com_google_gmaps, com_google_gmaps_lib, com_google_news, com_google_pack, com_google_pack_lib, com_google_search <--- so figuring all these are for the news, maps and search (for obvious reasons...haha)

these are the only ones that have google in them. any thoughts?

If worst comes to worst you can always delete every google app and reinstall the ones you want.

Although deleting it out of the applications followed by a battery pull should get rid of it. If it doesn't then I'm at a loss.

Yeah, I had deleted it out of the applications, and did a battery pull. Nothing. I thought maybe the icon was just still there for some reason, but, I can still get on the program. Oh well.

I may just hide the app and live with it. haha. Thanks guys.

    Re: Removing google talk?

I did that with another program that I could not delete. after a synch and a backup it just kinda left on it's own.
    never even thought about it.
