Removing Dust Under 8100 clear screen protecter

I was wondering if there is an alternate way of getting the dust out from under my screen without taking it complately apart to get to the screen. Its actually not the screen but that clear protective plastic screen right above the LCD screen. Its in between there and its really annoying me. If anyone has an idea feel free to post.

    Thanks in advance,

Ya that's what I was afraid of. I didn't want to do that but it seems that is the only way. Maybe I'll just wait until its unbearable to look at then I'll remove it, LOL!!!

    Thanks,

Hey Jenifer, all you need is a Torx screwdriver and hardware store will have one. If you take off your battery cover you will see 2 different screws in the top Left and Right hand corners. Just go to the hardware store and find a Torx screwdriver that fits that size. (sorry not sure what number size it is) I just might have to grab one myself eventually stupid lint. Anyways here's a link to a video for dissection of your pearl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQxMmsrnwfU

Good luck. Just remember it voids your warranty if you do this.

It is a #6 Torx. I had to go to RadioShack and get a computer tool kit because no hardware store, Target/Wal-Mart, auto store, Staples etc. had the right size. Don't forget to remove the torx screws BEFORE trying to pull off the sides. Makes things a little easier.
