    REM Files

I've searched post all day long and nothing seems to work. I have reformatted the media card and it works perfect BUT I want to convert the old rem files to jpg. I have a 8130 OS 4.5. When I created a temporary folder within the picture folder and moved the rem files to the temp folder and moved them back they were still rem. When I used the BB media manager to move the files, still the same thing, the files remain jpgrem! What do I do!

.rem is the extension added to your files when your blackberry encrypts your media card to turn it off go to options/memory and teun encryption mode to none

If they are from your current phone, load all the files onto your media card and go into your device and enable the ecryption mode let the device encrypt everything, once its done turn encryption mode back off and see if your device remove the .rem from the older files. MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP ALL YOUR MEDIA CARD DATA BEFORE YOU START TO PLAY AROUND
