    Does that mean ěf I use the new $30 plan that I lose it? That would be a drag I've only had it 2 weeks. I love that plan and unlimited text.

    Red Pearl comes out on 1-13-2008, sucks the day after the plan expires. My advice is get the original pearl now, and exchange it for the red when it launches.

    Kind of off topic, but once this plan expires, will this remain as a grandfathered plan? Another question is will the opportunity to add the $15 PAM package on/after 1/12/2007?

    If I were to call them on the 12th to activate my new BB and get the $30 data plan will I still be able to or since the plan expires that day will I have to do one of the more expensive ones

    ok so i got curious about this whole plan thing and I went and began to go through the process of buying an new phone with a new plan and all that stuff, but it was all for an experiment im not starting a new account. I selected the pearl and the blackberry power vision and continued to the checkout where it showed me all the charges. At the bottom it stated that the mail in rebate for $100 expired on the 12 of january. I went down 2 paragraphs and it talked about how the power vision is only available on the broadband mobile network, and didnt say anything about them ending the service.

    Lets only hope that they dont because if I have any luck at all I should be receiving my pearl tomorrow and will activate it with the blackberry data plan. If it expires tomorrow that means I could still get it until tomorrow is over right?

    Ohh and here is a copy of what the fine print about the data pack said:
    "3. Sprint Power Vision is available only while on the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network. Coverage defaults to the Sprint National Network where Sprint Mobile Broadband is unavailable.Sprint Power Vision Packs are not available with Sprint Mobile Broadband Cards™, Sprint Connection Kits™, and cannot be used for phone-as-modem purposes. Unless a Sprint Power Vision Pack is selected, customers with a Sprint Power Vision Phone will be charged 3˘ per kilobyte for Sprint Power Vision usage."

    Yea well the phone still hasn't arrived so it looks like ill have to wait till monday, and if thats the case I may end up switching from sprint because it would be cheaper, and i could sell the phone to pay for the cancellation fee and the price of a new phone.

    The red 8130 is now available through sprint.com I also went to to see if the data plan is still there and it is. Just updating yall.

    YEAH ... I saw that last night too .. no change in the plan or plan pricing ... and the red pearl is cheaper!!!!!!!!!!! and now i;'m getting my more expensive and black pearl 8130 via UPS today... when i should have just waited til last night and ordered the red one. How do i go about exchanging for the red one? i am not even open the box .. do i take it in to a sprint store .. can they do it there?
