    Question red lock icon

I can't seem to disable the red lock icon so i don't have to enter a password everytime the backlight goes off. What do I do the disable this? Tried the Media Card option, didn't make the lock go away.

Not for the faint of heart but you can wipe the device and reinstall the OS.

good luck man! you have to be careful about ebay sometimes. try typing the code wrong something like 10 times and when it wipes the BB plug it in to your computer and see if you can get it to work that way with DM and the current OS for the phone. there is another way to reset it but i almost bricked my phone that way... so as a last resort you know?

Must be BES phone. Such kind of locking is normally dictated by company policies, and can't be avoided/disabled on phone itself.

Install/wipe-reinstall newest OS on your BB, that should solve it.

Wiping the OS and doing a reinstall will not get rid of an IT policy from a BES

    Try this:http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...licy_help.html
