Rectangle Black and Blue while making calls?????
First off I am with Sprint, CDMA Pearl 8130 blah blah blah. Ok so about a week ago I noticed a Rectangle Black and Blue while making calls????? It is located in the upper right hand corner???
I have it too. Att on 4.5

I assume it is the enhanced audio indicator. For access or to disable use the menu in the phone app.
Read here for more info:
But do you know what it is???? 4.5? Is that your OS? I am still learning about this device here. Ok Gary answered my question. Thanks Gary!
I had that same icon once. Took me a while to figure it out!! Def enhanced audio!!
Once you go Black(berry) you'll never go back!!!
awwwwww, Gary you quoted - You truly DO rock!!!!!!
killer avatar .. by the way .. don't know if i ever told ya .
Funny how in the stacks, I've learned to associate your menacing great white shark avatar with RESCUE and with HELP and guidance.. ...
very much unlike the real world where a great white showing up would result in need of help and rescue (at the very least). keep it up!
by the way .. for those wondering about call enhancement reflected in call quality... it depends on the carrier, and sometimes on the unit itself.
Personally when I had the 8130 with Sprint call quality didn't change much at all by enhancing the audio (boosting treble or bass) - Sprints call quality was AMAZING .. about the only good thing i can say about them, which is why I will change the subject.. hehehehehehe
HOWEVER -- with my VERIZON 8130 - I can even hear the difference NOT TO MENTION my frustrated caller on the other end. the good thing is that you only have to set it once. Based on my mother's feedback, my calls were clearer and more comprehensible when I selected boosting the treble .. and you can choose to have the same audio enhancement for every call thereafter .. or you can modify it for every single call .. unless you are traveling a lot .. i'd say choose one and stick to it, so as to avoid lag time when taking or making calls
hope this helps =D

I got the blue and black square today. So I read this forum and when I went to the menu to turn it off and it was on disabled and then I enabled it and it was still there. How do I make it go away? This only happened today and I never went in to that menu to turn it on either.
Its enhanced audio. I do believe the key you press to get rid off it is d. Press and hold d. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
I'm sorry it is L. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Yes press the L key to activate or de-activate. I believe it will show up on the 4.3 OS as well as 4.5. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Phone options, general options, enhanced volume. There is normal, previous, boost bass, boost treble. Any you use besides normal will give you the rectangle. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
