yeah, you have to tell your phone to recieve the 'files' otherwise you'll just be spinning wheels for nothing...
Tilt is fun with WM 6.1, but not enough to kill the need for my nw iPhone 3Gs!!!

Also, make sure you turn on blue tooth.. And then go into the type of file you want to receive and in your menu key there you will find the option that's says receive using blue tooth. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Yes!! the BlackBerry CAN receive files via Bluetooth, but it does depend on the file..

Image files, music files, video files...It will save them, and so long as your BlackBerry supports the file, you'll be able to view them. You can even bluetooth transfer .jad, .jar and PDF files

Just go to Media>Menu>Receive Using Bluetooth, if your Bluetooth is not enabled, you will be prompted to do so.

Upon completion of the transfer, your BlackBerry will direct the file to the appropriate media location. If it is a different type of file (not "media"), then it'll be under Media>Menu>Explore>Media Card/Device Memory

I send and receive files from my Moto and wife's Sony walkman phone fine. BB just has to be in receive mode. What types of files are you sending? Can you communicate send or receive?

No issues on my 8100 as long as I tell it to receive files and it's paired with the other device.

You do have to pair the devices before the transfer will work.

Then your devices are not compatible, OR one OR both of them need to be updated...~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
