~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~yeah! The soft reset does the job, and it also will reboot your phone for viewing newly installed themes instead of having to do a battery pull as the instructions suggest

That trick doesn't work on Pearls. Only on Curves. That's why there is a small app so if you are really too lazy to take the battery out, just run the app to reboot the phone.

I'm not the OP, but I don't think it necessarily has to do with 'being lazy" to take the battery out. I have a crystal case which is a pain to get off (you need fingernails and that is something I don't have much of.. nail biter here..), but then I hate holding the back cover of the pearl while holding onto the sides and glass screen (I am always worried that Im going to break that screen with my big old hands).

Anyway, it's not always what you think.. A few codes on the keys would be great to accomplish what it takes to get to my battery..

I agree with Minarii there, a keypress would be good - and it's not laziness! The main reason I (and many others) don't like doing battery pulls is because the catch on the battery cover is known to be so flimsy - use it too many times and it falls off!

    Re: reboot pearl

this is a bug in the earlier pearls, newer pearls (8100) should have this issue addressed.

The Norwegian carrier Trigcom is currently recalling phones with this issue for free warranty replacement.
