    quick question.

just got my 8100.. few questions. When I click on "instant messenger" in my menu buttons, it just takes me to my most recent web page.. how do I get AIM on this thing?

Also, when I click on the "email setup".. it just takes me to my recent internet page as well.

Basically, how do I get AIM on this thing, and setup my @yahoo.com email so my emails get sent to this phone.

    thank you.

    Re: quick question.

if you dont have unlimited text, download Ramble IM...it uses data. so as long as you got unlimited data, do a search for the download

as for you @yahoo, sign into you blackberry account on t-mobile via PC and go to add email. its quick and painless. if you need more detail, let me know!

    Re: quick question.

    Who is your service provider?
T-Mobile had a website I had to take my 8700 too to download the free IM program from OZ. You can also download programs like Ramble IM.

Usually the set up email icon will take you to the correct webpage to set up your email account. With T-Mobile you can access through My T-Mobile as well. Can't speak to the other providers.

    Re: quick question.

Plenty of threads with good information on here about instant messengers.... do a search. As for the email I suggest logging into your service providers website and setting it up through there. They will browser push it to your phone. Welcome to the stacks!

You can get yahoo messenger on your phone and not be charged for text messeging. Go to blackberry.com and download yahoo mess. for the BB. Its free, and works just like the PC version. They also have one for google talk that is free too.
