    Quick browser question...

I'm considering purchasing the Blackberry Pearl under T-Mobile, but I was just curious about whether or not the browser was capable of visiting actual webpages (like the Sidekick 3). I'm planning on purchasing this phone within the next two or three days so a response sometime soon would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Re: Quick browser question...

it does have capability of visiting actual websites, but sometimes it will kick you to the mobile site instead. i came from a SKII and that was important to me when i switched. for example, if you use yahoo and go through yahoo.com, it will go to the mobile yahoo. you can get around it if you go to my.yahoo.com and go through there to get to the websites.

another website i noticed that sends you to mobile is NFL.com. i go there to check the scores, and it is not the full website. (still haven't found a way around that)

if there is a way to not automatically go to mobile sites, i would LOVE to find out.

Where would I have to go to download the Opera mini-browser?

I previously owned the Blackberry 7520 and I was very disappointed with the lack of SMS messaging. The Pearl has text messaging, right?

    Re: Quick browser question...

i'd definitely pick it up. i don't know about the SKIII, but coming from the SKII, i'm glad i switched!

the keyboard takes a little getting used to coming from the SK, but it won't take long. (this was the main thing i was concered about switching)
