Question Questions on the 8100 pearl

Can you make the phone ring more than 3 times? Can you download a ringtone that is louder than the ones that are on now? Is it possible to do this with the alarm clock? This does not wake me up during the night or in the morning. I need help.

    Ddren,

    1) the number of rings (I believe) is set by your carrier. You should check with them on changing this.
    2) Yes, there are many loud ringtones out there (check our download tab or official ringtone thread).
    3) Personally, I use the Rooster ringtone that I downloaded from http://mobile.blackberry.com and set it to medium (loud is much too loud for everyone else in the house.
    4) Pearl's are known for not having great speakers.

    Hope this helps.

You might also consider the replacement battery cover from Siedo Online. It has holes in front of the blackberry's speaker, which is located BEHIND the battery door!

Do a search and you can read some people's reviews of this cover, and see if they are getting louder sound (most seem to be).l

    good luck!

    DDREN

Depending on your carrier you may be able to set the number of seconds before your call goes to voice mail. I note you did not include your carrier in your profile. If you are on TMO for example, dial
    **61*18056377243**30#
where 18056377243 is your voice mail number, this should set your delay to 30 seconds. I beleive this only works for GSM carriers.

    hope this helps.

Thanks Gary, I talked to ATT and they extended my ring for 5 seconds which make a world of difference.

Most ringtones from Mobile.Blackberry.com are louder than the tones provided. I suggest looking into those. If you have one set to loud I'm sure it will wake you up.
