question re: upgrading SD card and applications stability

I am going to put in a new SD card in my 8100. currently I have a little 32mb one I got from my Dad.

I have noticed that whenever I sync to my 8100 to my laptop a windows explorer window will pop up because my 8100 is showing up as a drive, is that my phone memory or the SD card? or both?

the other thing I notice is that I seem to have jivetalk files in that directory, if that location is in my SD card I assume I will have to reinstall the app if I swap in a SD card. or am I wrong, and that location is my phone memory and not the SD card.

    thanks

When you plug in your phone, the removeable drive showing up is your MicroSD card. It's a feature that allows for easy transfer of files to and from the card. I am not familiar with Jivetalk, though I was under the impression that all applications are installed to device memory, although it may just be Jivetalk logs or something on your card. Just to be safe, I would copy everything on the old card to the new one.
