    Question question on bb messenger

I no longer have the option on my BB messenger to add a contact by PIN, all that shows up is the email option. What do I need to change in order to get both options back?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

    Re: question on bb messenger

That's all I get also, I just add the PIN in and it adds the contact to BBM

Let me correct myself, when you add a new contact and the address book opens, scroll to use once, hit menu and choose "Request By PIN"

If you just highlight the [Use Once] option and then hit Menu you can select Request by PIN.

    Re: question on bb messenger

In messenger, when you menu, add contact, and it opens your contact list and you scroll up to the "use once," menu again, don't you both get request by mail or request by PIN? I'm an 8100 and that's what I get. Doughdaddy, is the 8130 different?

    Re: question on bb messenger

when I go into the menu there's no add by PIN option there, it used to be and now it's gone. I'm not sure what I've changed on my phone since then but I don't have that option anymore.

wait, so doughdaddy, you're saying that I just enter the PIN in the email address field and it still works?

Yes it still does, but did you follow what me and red said and it still is not in the menu options?

    So to clarify....

Go to BBM>Add Contact>scroll up to [use once]>hit menu>select request by PIN.

    Is that option not there?

    staceubb,

If you know what you did, remember it. You may get a chance to help some other poor, confused user missing the "PIN" option on messenger. Glad you got it fixed. Happy stacking.
