Question about addresses from old SIM

I just upgraded from the first gen RAZR. I copied my entire address book to the SIM card and told the phone to merge contacts. I then saw duplicates of everything and figured that meant they were on both the phone and SIM.

I placed the SIM in the BBP and ran through the portion of setup wizard that supposedly imports the contacts.

I don't have any of them listed in my address book.

BUT when I manually entered my friend's number last night to text him, it said "Ryan" next to his number. Just "Ryan" and no last name- like I entered it into my RAZR's phone book.

Obviuosly the BBP knows the numbers but isn't letting me see them through the address book.

How do I get them to all appear in the address book?

Re: Question about addresses from old SIM

    I figured it out.

But, I hate how there's no symbol next to names or numbers in the address book. I'd like to see a home, business, pager or mobile phone next to each number. Otherwise, I'm not sure which I'm dialing!
