    Protecting Your Pearl

Just wanted to inquire what most people use out there as cases for their phones. I wan to get a case but can't find one I like.

I did however go out and buy a hard plastic screen protecter made for 30G Ipod video that works wondefully for the screen, but still nothing for the rest of it.

I'm not a fan of the BB case, the one that clips on to your belt, nor do I like the cillicone one. Are there any others out there?

Check out the hard case from speck products.I have the pearl and this is the only case that the screen protector is actually a part of the case, and its hard and durable tinted plastic, very sturdy.

you might also look at Best Skins Ever... not a case but a great way to protect the screen and pearl from little scratches and nicks!

someone else on PS showed me this site.

    http://www.vajacases.com/

they have some freak'in nice BBP cases. but at a shocking price of USD$60.00 (and up). but you do get to customize it. worth a look.

As for what I do, I hate wearing a phone on a belt...I think it is cheesy. So I got the RIM BBP leather pocket.

Does not add that much size to the pearl so it still fits in your pant pocket, and it does a great job of protecting the screen and battery life because it has the built in sleep mode when you seed it in the pocket. USD$24.00 from BB, but I paid CDN$30 at a Rogers store.

I simply bought a clear plastic case from Ebay that fits pretty well. It's fairly thin so it doesn't make the Pearl bulky. I have a screen protector on the screen since the case leave that area exposed.

    Ditto, that's my way too.
Plus these rubber cases help hold on to that slippery sucker! LOL

The Vaja case is beautiful! I like how the bottom doesn't is cut so it doesn't hinder typing. Do you know if they have cases for the slim extended battery?

i don't use a case, i use this deal from 'bodyguardz' where it's a custom-cut plastic film that covers your entire phone. it's pretty cool, since you can still show off your pearl. it does a decent job of covering the phone, there are a couple of small gaps but a)these are small and b)i get the same covering i would get from using a regular case if not more. it also ships with a plastic film for your screen so the entire phone is covered. i will have to say that it seems that heat seems to shrink the film (the screen only, the phone 'guard' is still intact) but that's because it's made differently. but you guys should check it out if you want to show off your pearl while still protecting it.

on another note, they do make these for ipods too (along with a lot of different other handhelds). if you go to the bodyguardz homepage you can find the page for the product and also a little youtube video of how it goes onto the pearl.

I got my leather case from SENA. It fits really well and it protects my BB 8800. Here's the link www.senacases.com
