    lee_harvey, Welcome to PinStack.

Have you tried it from the main memory? I don't have the Pearl (maybe yet), so can't really help with this. but let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.

All I can say it try different settings when creating the Ringtone, or a different tone. Check out www.tunusin.com or www.mobile41.com for downloading mp3 tones.

I used xilisoft (video converter software) to cut the MP3 to the length that I wanted and saved it to my media card and it works fine.

Most phones that have a built in mp3 player that I have messed with wont play a wav file from the card, it is an mp3 player, not a wav player. I have a new phone with Nextel and it has the top of the line mp3 player, wont even play wavs.

Fyi, if you want a free, easy to use convertor for your music download this, dbpoweramp convertor.
