    Problem loading apps

I tired uploading a new theme, BBlight, and the Handandgo trackball color trial... but when I select open in Desktop Manager App Loader, I get a pop-up window saying something like no additional applications have been detected, so basically something (the Pearl or the DM app loader isn't recognizing the apps? Any suggestions?
    Please and thank you

Yea we couldn't figure it out. I had her install the new DM and remove the old OS from her PC. Since if you keep installing them they just build up. I can't figure it out. I've run out of options.

I think moving the file to a diff location would of fixed the issue.

    Re: Problem loading apps

if you simply click next what happens?

i test the themes that i create first, before posting. since they have already been installed on my device, if i try to 'add' the dm says the same thing. all you have to do is click next and it will show up in the window if its updating.

also, i am ASSuming that since reddog was helping, you guys tried the ol' battery pull too?

    Re: Problem loading apps

hey cherri... actually the theme i have been trying to add is one of your butterfly themes! anyways, when i open the dm and click on add in the app loader the window freezes for a bit and then i get an error box... the app doesn't even show up in my list so i can't check it and go "next"! reddog didn't suggest it, but trust me, i've done the good o' batt pull plenty of times and nothing helps!

    hmm...ok.
the apps that you are trying to load on to your bb, are you positive they are .alx files and not .jar or .jad?

    ::edit:
the butterfly theme that you are trying to dl, did you get it in regular themes or OTA?

    Re: Problem loading apps

I always have the same stuff when trying to upload .ali files but never had problem with .alx. Be sure that you .zip archieves are unpacked and check extensions of files you are trying to upload.. one of the general suggestion could be rebooting both BB and PC and trying to repeat uploading...

Oh... Then save your hair, get pack of beer and relax waiting for next day! It should work

Just googled it and found at least two exactly the same topics... Sorry I can't give you right answer right now but will try to find decision..

    But.. check this page
    http://www.shrunkenhead.biz/faq.html...ional_apps_ans

One more possible cause: Your Blackberry desktop manager is not up to date : try to dowload the latest version

    Another version:

I received the error message "No additional applications designed for your handheld were found" while trying to install the application.

For installing third-party applications you need two different desktop installer packages:
    1. The Desktop Manager software
    2.The Handheld Applications installer

The Desktop Manager will not allow third-party applications to be loaded until the BlackBerry Handheld Applications are installed on the desktop. So the user must first run the Handheld Applications installer.

The Handheld Applications installer includes the actual "Handheld Code" or "Handheld Software" which is carrier dependent and can be downloaded from your carrier's website.
