How can i disable the automatic capitalization of the first letter of the first word in a sentence?

I do alot of shell commands by phone (MidpSSH) and since these are case sensitive i'd rather disable it.

The only thing i've found is to disable it per "AutoText" case within Options, and that seems a bit of an annoyance to go through and change all of them.
I don't know of any way to disable auto caps other than backspacing.

It isn't empty from the start there are words there by default that come with the os installed with BB.

Does autotext ever get used in e-mails? Because the disable option is in SMS settings, so is there an equivalent in some e-mail setting or is it just not used?

Auto text is used in email. I don't know if it can be disabled there.

    Hope this helps.

Can't you hit menu and choose multi-tap?

Or are talking about auto-text as it finishing your words for you.

    As in typing mn=minute

Suretype and auto-text are two different things.

I dunno if this helped at all. I think I just confused myself.

You get predictive text with OS4.5 and its a big improvement in SureType. It took me a day to get used to it but its one of the major reasons why I won't move to the Curve! The another is the size and looks of the Pearl!!!
