    Please help me downgrade...

Guys I have searched google, this forum and pinstack and I am still unable to perform a downgrade in os. I am following the directions as best I can but I do not see anything to uninstall in control panel. I installed 4.2.2 of desktop manager and then installed .73 Cingular. I am currently running .94 rogers and I am suffering from some issues mentioned here mostly that during a call it goes silent and the other person cannot be heard and then they come right back and I have no idea what they said.

I do not know what else to do or what I am doing incorrectly. There are only two options available in my control panel....4.2.2 desktop manager as well as the new Cingular version. There is nothing listed in my RIM folder in Program files for Apploader or vendor.xml.

I'm really getting frustrated with this to the point where I just want to break the damn phone!

Please any and all assistance would be helpful. I have no idea what people keep saying by deleting the current os from control panel as I cannot find my .94 file ANYWHERE.

I have searched enough of the forums for me to finally feel the need for my own thread. Please guys, help!

I don't have an apploader file inside the Research in Motion folder...I can't follow those steps

I don't know what I am missing that is not giving me that vendor.xml option

the only thing I can think is you downloaded the .73 os and didn't install?
    or possibly a bad/corrupt download?

No there has to be something else I am missing, I have reinstalled the file at least 5 times, I have reinstalled everything at least 5 times. I'm wondering, is 4.2.2 with media manager too updated for me to downgrade the software? Does that even matter? There has to be something I am missing to delete the .94 from my computer which I cannot find in control panel. Second, there has to be a reason why after instaling .73 handheld why I am not getting the Apploader folder in Program files.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~delete all BB software and get a new install. That is the only thing that worked for me. But now I want to go back to .94 cause most app don't work: opera mini, google maps and the menu 4 some games

I'm trying to do the same. Thinking of going back to .71 OS. How can I do just a FULL deletion of my BB to get it back to its original state? I used the wipe handheld command on my BB already, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else I could do. I want to get rid of all the themes I have right now any everything.

To truly wipe clean your blackberry you need to use JL_Cmder and then you can start from scratch. Then it will be as clean as the day it was born....
Arigold, have you already tried that?

No I will do a search on that program, will it restore it to .64 T-mobile?? What am I doing wrong on the pc though that I can't get the apploader file with program files? My problem seems to stem more from that than the handheld itself.

It will COMPLETELY wipe your pearl...as in no operating system left behind! It is a bit drastic...you may want to try a few more things on the desktop side before you go that route. If the "How to" thread did not work (missing app loader file seems strange) you might try this:
    Un-install Desk Top Manager
Go to:Start/My Computer/C: Drive/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/ and delete the RIM folder(s) completely. Delete any install files for the OS's that you have downloaded...in short, try to get your Desktop back to "pre-RIM" state.
Then download the new DM and the OS you want, extract the files and try the steps in the thread again...

I have tried this multiple times and still not avail. What am I doing wrong. I did this once again this morning where I cleared to the best of my knowledge everything off my laptop and then reinstalled both desktop manager and .73 software with Cingular. I cannot find .94 on my computer to delete. I was able to upgrade, why should I have this much difficulty downgrade.

Help me pinstackers, you're my only hope! (In my best Princess Leia voice)

So back to the beginning...when you connect and launch DM>App Loader you are not given the option to install a different OS, correct?

That is correct. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I must be doing something wrong. I was able to upgrade with little effort.
