Without media manager in Desktop manager & without having to create a play list song ... BlackBerry Pearl forum
Without media manager in Desktop manager & without having to create a play list song by song on my 8130 is there another way to do it?
Here's what I did, & I don't understand why it didn't work.
I took my media card out of my bb & put it in my pc. I selected all the tunes I want & with VLC on my PC created a playlist in .m3u format. I saved that .m3u file to my media card & put it back in my phone. The 8130 recognized the .m3u file as a playlist, when I open it it sees all the tunes, but won't play them.
Did I save it in the wrong place or do something wrong?
Thanx in advance.
With 4.5 you should be able to create playlists without using media manager. Does that option not show up on your media player?
I just created a playlist with Winamp using your method and it worked.
At the top of Winamp > select view > Playlist Editor (or ALT + E) > Select Add Button (L) > Add files using Windows from your PC > Once files have been added > Select SAVE from the File dropdown in the Playlist Editor > Save to your MicroSD card in the BlackBerry Music Folder.
Unplug your device and go to playlists, and it should work for. You may need to give your BlackBerry time to scan the playlist file first. As long as you have the same songs on your PC and the BlackBerry, the .m3u file should recoginize it the same way.

I want to create it on my pc with Vlc, which I takes me 5 seconds to do. I am using 184.108.40.206 I will try again.
