    PIN problem

BF and I both have new BB 8100's and have een using PIN just fine until today. If I go to view his contact info on the PIN IM screen or he goes to mine it says we are unreachable. Neither of us have changed anything. He can send to me and it will say sent, but I never receive it, and same goes with me sending to him.
    What's going on?

Try pulling your batteries out for 15-20 secs. and see if that works. If not I would go to t-mobiles site and resend your service books, that is if you have t-mobile.
    Hope this helps.
I have not had this prob.

I would try to reregister the pin. That seems to resolve alot of problems.

Could be a network problem. Sometimes there is a long delay in transmission when using PIN or Blackberry Messenger.

I agree slightly more with RC.

If it was emails, by all means, send the service books.

But BlackBerry Messenger status is controlled and set by RIM, and is independent of the carrier (aside from the carrier providing data & coverage).

Try turning your wireless off, wait a few minutes, then turn back on. This will force a re-logon of BlackBerry Messenger to RIM's IM server.

Lewis, Do you know if doing a Register Now also forces a re-logon of BB Messenger to RIM's IM Server? Just curious.

I'm not sure. I've never had to do that HRT register thing, and I've never had a dealer or CSR suggest it either. Perhaps that's just a quirk with Rogers. ??

Usually, turning wireless off then on will fix whatever is ailing.

And service books appear to be only for email and browsing.

Thanks Lewis. I was just curious. Sometimes if a service book has been deleted, the HRT Register Now will re-send it.
