ahh ok... I had the 8100, then went to an 8300 (curve) and loved it, now I've switched service providers and have the 8130. Both are great devices just depends on the keyboard type you prefer really.

I've had two Curves and both did not impress me, I went back to the Pearl till i received the 8830. I love the 8830 and the Pearl. You couldn't give me a Curve. It was very disappointing to say the least. However I also know thousands of people who love the Curve, just not me

    Re: pearl problems

I used to have the Pearl, and loved it but after a while, the narrow screen which provided videos that were hard to watch seeing as the screen isn't a standard ratio started to bug me. Switching to the Curve allowed for a standard screen ratio, (4:3). The Curve also has a built-in option for full-screen viewing, which the Pearl (as of right now) lacks.

SureType was great though. Sure, I've only had the Curve for about 2 weeks but it's taking a while to get used to full qwerty.

Anyway, it's all depending on what you're looking for.
